The Gables Spanish National Society, sponsored by the Spanish teacher Ms. Mercedes Verazain, is a nationally recognized organization specifically created for high school students enrolled in Spanish classes and studying the Spanish language and culture.

     The main purposes of the Spanish National Honor Society are: 

• "To recognize students who attain high achievement in the study of the Spanish language, culture, and literature."
• "To encourage students to acquire a greater interest in Hispanic studies and affairs."

     The Spanish National Honor Society aspires to promote a deeper understanding of Spanish culture in Spain as well as in other Spanish-speaking countries. As members of this Society, we accomplish this goal by providing our fellow peers with enjoyable activities related to the Spanish language and culture.
